As the first week comes to a close, I wanted to thank you for being flexible and patient with not only the enrollment and placement of your students, but your music pull-out scheduling.  In the first couple of weeks, we will need to continue to be flexible and patient.

As we begin to plan for ELD, I think about some of our neediest students and our focused intentions to support them.  I know that the scheduling may be a challenge at times, but I also think about planning for your students look to you for that extra support.  I appreciate the work alongside your teammates to make the best student-centered decisions for all of your students.

Here are some clarifying items to remember.
  • If you are released for PLC first thing in the morning, you are responsible for taking roll. I recommend that you take roll in line to save time.
  • Cathy will create name tags for your class for each release for all your students.  We will try to create a name placard late. You will always be released to room 11.

Transitions
  • You will always have your students on the blacktop
  • Cathy will be creating an informative folder about your class.  She will give it to you before your first AEP release.  You are responsible to give it to the AEP teacher every time you release your students to them (It contains emergency information, rosters identifying students with disabilities, caught being good tickets, line awards…..).
  • If you are a teacher that has the release first thing in the morning, take roll and have your students on your line ready for pick up.
  • If are a teacher that has release first thing in the morning, the AEP teachers will also drop the students back to your line on the blacktop.  Please meet them there.
  • If you are a teacher that will be released in the second half of the day, please have your kids ready on the blacktop for the AEP teachers to pick up
  • If you are a teacher that is being released in the afternoon, you are responsible to meet your class 5 minutes before the bell rings on the blacktop to release your own class.  This goes for all grade levels.

Once again, here are the dates for AEP this year.  All will be half day releases.
***PLEASE NOTE THAT THEY WILL ALWAYS BE FRIDAYS***
