Monday Morning Memo
Week of 5/7-5/11

After our PLC recently, I observed the process of the transfer of your data analysis to informing your instruction in a responsive manner.  This picture below is a great example of a shared reading lesson adjusted based on formative data involving theme. I wanted to say thank you to all grade levels for being vulnerable when sharing that day as well as putting your discussion into practice.

I enjoy seeing the hands-on science activities in classrooms.  I appreciate how you integrate this exciting content area into English Language Arts.

Our violinists did a wonderful job representing our school at the Mission Bay Cluster Concert.  Well done!!!

Instructional Focus-

Guided Reading/Balanced Literacy Post-training
I will be asking you for when you implement guided reading in your daily schedule. Please make your updates accordingly in your schedule.
As I give feedback on shared reading/interactive read aloud/guided reading/conferring, I will refer to your reflection sheet and your teaching points during your lessons to give feedback as well.
I will be asking for you to show me how you implement this on an everyday basis starting with conferring and guided reading.  Please have your data readily available to discuss when I come into your classrooms.
