Staff Appreciation Week

If you consider all of your learnings and hard work from Tier I instruction professional developments including Balanced Literacy (Shared Reading and Guided Reading) as well as Number Talks you all have done some tremendous work. The hard work has paid off in the classroom and the ones who benefit are seen in the pictures below.  

I also think about the love you have for your students each and every day and how that enhances our school culture and the climate overall.  As we move into Staff Appreciation Week,  I would like to thank you for all that you do to make Crown Point Junior Music Academy the best place for children to learn.

I had to throw this one in here.  Mrs. Mai is officially stronger than me.  The kids loved it in the Number Talks Lesson that YenNhi and I worked on last week.  Thank you Mrs. Mai for allowing me to work alongside you for one day of your Number Talks.

Instructional Focus-

I will be reviewing your schedules and selecting your Guided Reading times for observations and feedback.

I will also review schedules to set observation/feedback for your math time.  Please be prepared to discuss the learning targets your grade level has selected and how you have been implementing them into your math.

SST Day-Please be sure to have work samples, formative and summative data for your SST Meetings to show current present levels.

SBAC Testing-Shhhhhhhh, SBAC testing starts this week!!

PLC Release-

Please ensure that you get your subs requested within the next two weeks for your grade level PLC.  Once your day has been approved by me (we do not want multiple grade levels released on the same day ideally), then please see Cathy to ensure that your day gets on the master calendar.
