Crown Point Monday Morning Memo
Week of 4/8/19-4/12/19

Thank you for trading your teacher hat for a student hat this last week at our Math Number Talks professional development.  Being cognizant of your students' processing will support your selection of the effective instructional processes in the gradual release of instruction for your students.  I would also like to say thank you to teachers who go out of their comfort zone in the best interest of our students. From peer observations to co-planning and co-teaching, the positive attitude and the willingness to be vulnerable will support your students significantly.  Thank you for making Crown Point a great place to learn!!!

Instructional Focus-

Please ensure that your daily schedules are updated.   I will be going into classrooms based on your schedule you have shared with me.  I will continue to come to your classrooms with the lens of Tier 1 Instruction and Guided Reading.  I will also be conducting a data sweep of effective practices based on our professional development this year.

Once again, here is the link to the “Updated Tier 1 Look-Fors”.  Within these presentations you can review the effective practices I will be observing.

Math Number Talks-
As a reminder, please administer your grade level math pretest before Monday, 4/15/19.  We will be scoring and analyzing the student work as well as considering the next steps.
