Monday Morning Memo
Week of 10/19-10/23
These first few weeks have been a whirlwind for everyone and I am always not afraid to say how proud I am of Crown Point Staff. As Phase I started, I also noted how many happy faces there were on the students who are participating as well as the staff that are volunteering. Thank you for your continued hard work onsite and online. The parents, students, and I appreciate it.
Substitutes-
- If for any reason you need to be out, you will need to follow the normal process of calling SAMS and requesting a sub.
- Educators should follow normal procedures for reporting an absence (notifying Armando and Cathy the day before if possible and inputting into SAMS.
- Educators must prepare lesson plans for the Visiting Teacher just as you would during onsite instruction
- Options for providing Zoom links
- Never share your username or password
- Add the substitute to your meeting and assign as a co-host
- Have the substitute email Cathy for the link to your Zoom
ZOOM SECURITY SETTINGS-we recently had intruders in a Zoom class meeting with a substitute teacher. Please ensure you follow the protocol below.
- Teachers need to set up Zoom meetings for authenticated users only
- Teachers/students should not be using their personal email account (i.e. Gmail) to log in to zoom.
- It is important that teachers set up authenticated meetings properly by following these 2 steps:
- In settings, teachers must make sure the toggle switch is turned on for “Only authenticated users can join meetings.”
- Next, when scheduling meetings, teachers must check the box that says “Only authenticated users can join” then use the drop down menu to select “SDUSD staff and students can join.”
- Teachers should also enable the waiting room feature and not allow students to join before the host.
- Please see job aid for more details.
- Students must take additional steps to sign into authenticated meetings. Students should sign into sandiegounified.zoom.us prior to joining the zoom meeting. They can type this in the address bar or find the link in Clever Click here for job aid and video.
Staff Daily Symptom Check-
- We have changed the process when you access our site at any time.
- Fill out the ClearPass employee daily symptom questionnaire that can be filled out online before coming to campus. This takes place of the paper check-off list of symptoms that you would fill out when you arrived on site.
- To Access ClearPass Job Aide click here.
- Employees coming on campus must still have their temperature checked and continue to follow the Teacher/Staff Access Guide.
