Crown Point Junior Music Academy
Monday Morning Memo
Tuesday, 9/3 - Friday, 9/7

I hope you had a restful weekend with your family and friends and had an enjoyable Labor Day.  I appreciate your hard work and diligence during the first week of school.  The parents of your students appreciate your preparation for teaching their children.

Thank you for also reteaching your students our schoolwide expectations.  This helps out the entire for setting the tone for the entire year.

Area Superintendent Visit-
Kimie Lochtefeld will be visiting us on Tuesday (tomorrow), 9/4 at approximately 1:00.  I look forward to sharing our school with her.

Staff Meeting-
I am pushing it to the second week in September (Tuesday, 9/11 @ 2:30).  I want to share more information about restructuring and enrollment at that time

Recess Duty-
We are on regular duty this week please review the schedule.  You can access the schedule from this link.  I appreciate your active supervision when on duty.

Student Parent Handbook Signature Page-
I am asking that all teachers collect the signature page and hold on to the class set until I come and collect your complete class set in three weeks (9/21/18)

Violin-
Mr. Luchs has his schedule ready for the week.  This will be tentative as we are also waiting to get in contact with PLAY PE.  I have contacted them and I have a meeting with the reps this Thursday.  I will let you know the outcome of our meeting as soon as I can.

Weekly Schedule-
As a reminder, your weekly schedule due date has been postponed indefinitely.  Once we find out about PLAY PE and cross-reference violin, you can adjust your schedule accordingly.  From that point, I will create a new due date.  All other items discussed in the Prep-day meeting still need to be turned in based on the deadlines.

Enrollment-
We are still low on enrollment.  We have approximately 320 students when I reviewed the enrollment on Friday.  We finished the school year with 355 last year and with overall enrollment across the district declining, they predicted 340 putting us short currently by 20 students.  We will continue to review the enrollment and I will share with you any decision when it is made.

Library-
We are hoping to have the library open for checkout this Thursday. You should be getting a schedule by this Tuesday at the latest.

Discipline Assembly-
I am preparing a presentation for the entire school right now. I just need a few more pictures to finalize it.  I am planning to schedule grade level presentations to make it more intimate and engaging.
