Crown Point Junior Music Academy
Monday Morning Memo
10/9/17-10/13/17

I appreciate staff working hard on keeping all students engaged in lessons!!

Anchor charts are being used for not only teaching reference points but as formative assessments as well!
If you have not pulled this book out, please look for it.  My understanding is that every teacher received it a few years ago.  We will be using the Continuum very soon in PLCs as well as for guided reading.

Instructional Coaching Focus-  As I continue to observe and give feedback, the conversations will revolve around student engagement, alignment to standards, and the rigor of the tasks and lessons.

****PLEASE NOTE******
As we move into PLCs, be prepared to have discussions on how you collect data based on common grade level assessments and how you use the data to inform your instruction.

PLC-  Our first whole school PLC will be this Wednesday, 10/10/17 in room 9 from 1:00-3:00.  Please bring any common assessments or data you have to share with the group.  We will also revisit what the best practices are in a PLC.

Staff Meeting- Tuesday, 10/10 in room 9 at 2:30.  Please bring your laptop.  We will review SST process, update on schoolwide discipline plan and other business items.
