Monday Morning Memo

Week of 12/17-12/21

As we move into the last week before Winter Break, I wanted to say thank you for your continued dedication and hard work.  With our instructional focus of Tier 1 instruction and Guided Reading, I appreciate how each of you have opened your doors to your peers an learning together.  Please take time also to enjoy working with your students, parents and each other.  

 The Elf on the Shelf was seen on site at CPJMA and the PB Parade.  Please be on the lookout.

Instructional Focus-
I will be continuing to observing Tier1 instructional practices throughout the next couple of weeks.  I will also be collecting some pre-data on Guided Reading.  Please ensure that your daily/weekly schedule has been updated to ensure that I come in the appropriate time frame for guided reading.

Thank you for your hard work during the release days for Balanced Literacy/Guided Reading.  We will finish off with upper grade this week.  As we get closer to Winter Break, this is your time to continue to try on anything you have learned from our releases. Also, we had purchased the Fountas and Pinnell Guided Reading Prompting Guide.  Please take some time to utilize it in your planning.
